Local Attractions

Plus, you'll want to head outdoors to experience hiking trails and kayaking at the Scarborough Marsh Nature Center.

Four miles east of Saco/Old Orchard Beach KOA is the town of Old Orchard Beach. This charming seaside village is home to an incredible pier lined with restaurants, comedy shows, and shops. Plus, the beach features rides and amusements at Palace Playland.

If you head 15 miles north, you'll find the trendy city of Portland. Downtown Portland is buzzing with shops and restaurants throughout the Arts District and Historic Old Port. Though very walkable, you can take a funky trip through the city and harbor with Maine Duck Tours.

Other attractions within an hour's distance include York's Wild Kingdom Zoo & Amusement Park and the Desert of Maine, a glacial silt that eerily resembles a desert. For a stunning outdoor adventure, day trip to Acadia National Park, exploring the heights of Cadillac Mountain.
