The Phoenix area is full of exciting destinations to visit. One popular pursuit is to take one of the
Apache Trail Tours. These unique experiences involve off-roading and learning how to pan for gold. For additional outdoor fun, head east into the Superstition Mountains for hiking, horseback riding, and more. About thirty minutes away in Mesa is the
Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum, a must-see for aviation buffs. Here, you'll have the opportunity to ride in a WWII bomber. And the hour's drive to Pinal County is well worth the trip to visit
Goldfield Ghost Town. This formerly spooky destination features a gold mine, museum, and historic shops. Nearby Phoenix, about 35 miles west, features its own set of attractions. Check out a game by the
Arizona Coyotes or
Cardinals for sports fun. Or head to one of the area's acclaimed
museums. When spring rolls around, you can check out the
Cactus League training for the MLB season.
