The U.S. is a big country though, and that means there are lots of options. From California to Florida, specific locales answer the snowbird cry more than others. During your next trip, try and visit at least one of these amazing snowbird destinations!
In the heart of Texas Hill Country is Fredericksburg, a small town with a distinct German influence. The downtown Main Street, known by its German name of Hauptstrasse, is lined with bakeries, boutiques, and museums. Be sure to visit the Pioneer Museum and the National Museum of the Pacific War.
Two resorts are within day trip distance of Fredericksburg. Blazing Star RV Resort, located in San Antonio, offers family-friendly accommodations near SeaWorld San Antonio. Further east in New Braunfels is Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort. More German influence can be found in New Braunfels, especially in the Gruene Historic District and at Schlitterbahn Waterpark.
A blend of old and new, St. Petersburg boasts classic Florida charm and sunny weather. The downtown area is bursting with cute eateries, while the waterfront parks are destinations for art. Some great spots to visit include the Dali Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Mahaffey Theater.
A couple of Sun RV Resorts are located just a few miles away from St. Petersburg. Rainbow Village of Largo features numerous grassy RV sites and outdoor activities like shuffleboard and pétanque. Nearby, Dunedin RV Resort offers a location near the renowned Clearwater beaches. Along with spacious RV sites and great amenities, Dunedin is home to a boutique hotel, the Blue Moon Inn.
