Fresh From the Ridgeway Farmer's Market
Looking to spend a fun day exploring locally grown fruits and vegetables? Or perhaps you'd like to pick up some flowers to brighten up your cottage at Sherkston Shores.
No matter what you're looking for, the Ridgeway Farmer's Market is full of great local goods and fresh produce. With a great location in downtown Ridgeway, Ontario, right off the Friendship Trail recreational path, it's easy to access, taking place every Saturday throughout the summer months.
Local Vendors to Visit
Many vendors offer local goods from the Niagara region farms that include fresh produce, eggs, meat, and cheeses. You can also find arts and crafts, flowers, baked goods, and great food.
In fact, over 30 vendors make their way to the market every week. All of them are passionate and eager to connect the community with local small businesses.
Some of the vendors you'll want to visit include:
- Country Road Brand Farm - Honey and seasonal farm products
- Karen's Custom Collars - Dog collars and other leather products
- The Kitchen - Breads, sweets, pizza, handmade sandwiches, and pastries
- Tulip Tree Floral - Flower shop products
- Riverberry Farm - Seasonal fruits and vegetables, bedding plants, and breakfast served each weekend
- And many more!

The market is operated by the Ridgeway Business Improvement Area and runs every Saturday until mid-October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors from all trades, including farmers, bakers, butchers, and cheesemakers, are welcome and encouraged to get involved.
Just up the road in the city of Port Colborne, a 10-15 minute drive from Ridgeway, you can visit the Port Colborne Farmer's Market. This gathering features over 60 vendors from throughout the Niagara Region. The Port Colborne Farmer's Market takes place every Friday morning at Market Square in downtown.
Just Minutes From Sherkston Shores
The Ridgeway Farmer's Market is only a 10-minute drive from Sherkston Shores Beach Resort & Campground, making it a fantastic way to relax on a Saturday morning. Be sure to head out to the market early to get the best goods as you enjoy meeting the market's vendors. The market also operates rain or shine, so dress accordingly if you plan to venture downtown on a rainy day.
