What to Do for Christmas in Florida

Sunshine and palm trees may not be the quintessential holiday image, but the combo defines Christmas in Florida! The holiday season down south is filled with fun and a variety of events that cater to all ages. We've rounded up several of the best events near our resorts so you can find a place to celebrate. Happy holidays!

St Augustine Night Of Lights

How to Spend the Holidays in Florida

Night of Lights

St. Augustine

Known as Florida's first city, St. Augustine features history around every corner. But during the holiday season, St. Augustine features lights around every corner!

Running until February 2, 2020, St. Augustine is hosting its annual Night of Lights festival. More than three million lights adorn the downtown historic district during the display. To add to the fun, shops stay open late and tours by train, trolley, foot, or horse and carriage are available.

Edison & Ford Winter Estates Holiday Nights

Fort Myers

Throughout December (excluding Christmas Day and Eve), the Edison & Ford Winter Estates offer nightly tours through the houses and grounds. This one-of-a-kind celebration features hundreds of vintage decorations, designed to suit the historical period. General admission is a lower price, but we recommend opting for the guided tour that's filled with facts!

Now Snowing

Celebration

Scenic Celebration may not get snow, but that's not stopping it from celebrating Christmas in Florida! Now Snowing is the town's premier holiday event. In the town center is one of Florida's few synthetic ice rinks, with special concerts taking place on the surrounding square. Plus, you'll get to see carolers, carriage rides, and "snowfall" on the hour every night until December 31.

Epcot's Candlelight Processional

Orlando

Perhaps the most iconic celebration for Christmas in Florida, Epcot's Candlelight Processional is part of the International Festival of the Holidays. From November 29 to December 30, the Christmas story is narrated in a show accompanied by a choir and 50-piece orchestra. Best of all, the story is told by a variety of celebrities, from Pat Sajak to Neil Patrick Harris.
