Don't Miss Wurstfest in New Braunfels
Although typically associated with the northern states, fall is a beautiful time of year throughout our country, and the south has its fair share of autumn beauty and traditions. This year discover the fall season in the quiet Texas town of New Braunfels and experience the renowned German festival happening in November. Many of the area's residents hail from German ethnicity, which has become a cherished part of the Texas melting pot. At our very own Hill Country Cottage & RV Resort, you can stay just minutes away from all of the festivities of this annual event.

Wurstfest

Join the locals from November 3-12 as they celebrate Wurstfest, a gala that will feature the music, dancing, and food of Bavaria. Be transported back to the old country as you smell the enticing aroma of hot bratwurst, listen to lively polka bands, and see individuals dressed in traditional garb.

Wurstfest also features a wide variety of rides, children's activities, and various contests. The festivities extend throughout the town with organizations and businesses hosting plenty of events, ranging from an outdoor art museum to a five-mile run. Whether you're young or old, there's fun to be had at this celebration - one of biggest in central Texas!

Natural Bridge Caverns

While you're in New Braunfels, don't miss the chance to venture through the wonders of the underground by embarking on a tour of the Natural Bridge Caverns. Aside from the opportunity to see beautiful formations within the earth, this attraction offers numerous other activities. Try your hand at gem mining, or challenge yourself with a one-of-a-kind maze experience. For the adventurous, zip lining and the Canopy Explorer course pose a test of your balancing skills – 60 feet above the ground!

Hill Country Resort

As one of the best places to stay in New Braunfels, Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort holds a special place in the hearts of many of its guests who frequently come here. Tree-lined streets wind through the resort, adorned with a wide variety of RV sites and unique cottages designed to fit your needs. From two-person mini cottages to spacious, family-sized rentals, you can enjoy these great accommodations, plus amenities you'll love in an incredible destination.

The year-round planned activities and social events at our New Braunfels RV resort guarantee a great vacation. Take a dip in one of the two pools or let kids run free on the playscape and jumping pillow. Multiple event centers make Hill Country a fantastic choice for groups, while an on-site convenience store has is a great back up in case you forget any essentials.

In addition to the on-site excitement, the nearby community offers fishing, boating, golfing and more. Just 30 miles south of Hill Country, the city of San Antonio has many exciting attractions such as the Riverwalk and SeaWorld. For a day trip, you can head an hour north to the vibrant metropolis of Austin and explore the Texas State Capitol Building before uncovering Austin's famous art scene!
