As its namesake suggests, this resort offers an amazing selection of over 100 cottage vacation rentals to choose from – a great alternative traditional hotel rooms. But before we get into a breakdown of the various cottages available here, let's take a minute to highlight some of the many main attractions that draw the thousands of worldwide visitors traveling to this region each year.  

Attractions of Hill Country & the South Texas Plains

Perfectly situated less than an hour between Austin and San Antonio, New Braunfels is an area famous for swimming, tubing and kayaking on the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. River outfitters are always standing by to make sure everyone has a fun and safe adventure on the rivers. You can also feed your wild side at the Animal World & Snake Zoo featuring a variety of animal species from across the globe.

Just south of Hill Country in San Antonio you'll find no shortage of incredible things to keep you busy and entertained. The historic Alamo and River Walk are absolute must-see attractions along with wonders like the Natural Bridge Caverns.

Make your way north to the State Capitol of Austin and tour the impressive historic structure of the Capitol Building, which stands over 300 feet tall! Get back to nature at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas and discover more than 8,000 plants native to North America.  

Cottages, Cottages, Cottages!

Vacation rentals have become a very popular alternative to hotels over the past several years. Travelers like the privacy of four walls with the benefits of a working kitchen and many other comforts of home. Guests of Hill Country also have full access to all of the fantastic luxury amenities like two heated indoor swimming pools and hot tub area, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, saunas, game room, playground, jumping pillow, sand volleyball and much, much more!

Each rental comes fully furnished and includes linens, towels, kitchen utensils, and flat screen television with an attached deck or patio with chairs, barbeque grill, and either a picnic table or a table and chairs on the deck.  

The Pecos & The Pecos Deluxe

These are the most basic rental units available at Hill Country with 200 square feet of space that sleeps up to two people. Both styles include a private bathroom and kitchenette area; regular units have duplex-style entrances while the deluxe units include slightly upgraded features with a private entrance.

The Llano

These cozy 400 square foot single story rentals sleep four people with a layout that includes one bedroom with a queen size bed, living room with sleeper sofa, full kitchen, and private bathroom with a shower. One of these cottages is also handicap accessible. Linens, dinnerware, utensils and bakeware are not included.

The Rio Grande

The Rio Grande cottages offer 400 square feet with two bedrooms with queen size beds to sleep four people. Other features include a small living room, full kitchen, and private bathroom with a shower. Linens, dinnerware, utensils and bakeware are not included.

The San Marcos

Enjoy 300 square feet with an overhead loft area to that sleeps up to four adults and four children. The downstairs consists of one bedroom with a queen size bed, a full kitchen area, and living room with a sleeper sofa. These cottages include a bathroom with a shower that is accessible from both the bedroom and living room. The overhead loft contains two double mattresses, a perfect spot for the kids! Linens are not provided for the mattresses in the loft area.

The Guadalupe

The Guadalupe is slighter larger than The San Marcos, ranging from 327 – 400 square feet with an overhead loft area to comfortably accommodate up to four adults and four children. The downstairs consists of one bedroom with a queen size bed, a full kitchen area, and living room with a sleeper sofa. These cottages include a bathroom with a shower that is accessible from both the bedroom and living room. The overhead loft has two double mattresses that are suitable for younger children. Linens are not provided for the mattresses in the loft area.

Sabine

Choose the Sabine for 400 square feet of space and includes one bedroom with a king size bed and bunk beds, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room to accommodate up to 6 people. There is also a full kitchen and private bathroom available for the comfort and convenience of our guests. No pets are allowed in these rental units.

The Comal

The Comal offers 750 square feet of spacious comfort that sleeps up to eight people and include two bedrooms with queen size beds and a sleeper sofa in the large living room. There is also a full kitchen and a private bathroom with a shower that is accessible from both the master bedroom and the hallway.

The Frio

One of the largest units we offer, The Frio has between 714 - 850 square feet with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom includes a king size bed and a private bathroom, the second bedroom contains a queen size bed, and the spacious living room has two sleeper sofas to comfortably sleep up to eight people. There is also a full kitchen and a second shower, which is accessible from the hallway; both bathrooms include a shower.

The Colorado

At 1,300 square feet, The Colorado is the largest unit and accommodates twelve people. This two bedroom, two bathroom rental home has a queen size bed and bunk beds in the master bedroom with a master bathroom that includes a Jacuzzi tub, a king size bed in the second bedroom and a second bathroom accessible from the hallway. The full kitchen features a serving island with bar stools and opens into a large living room that has two queen size sleeper sofas, four arm chairs and a flat screen television. Pets are not allowed in this rental.
