Mystic River Drawbridge

Built in 1922, the Mystic River Bascule Bridge is a working piece of history. One of the most fascinating features of this bridge are that the counterweights are not enclosed, so visitors can see all of the moving parts as they raise and lower the bridge at 40 minutes after the hour.

Mystic Pizza

Mystic Seaport

You'll find a true nautical treasure at this living museum featuring a recreation of a 19th century Connecticut coastal village and a working preservation shipyard. Furthermore, Mystic Seaport is the largest maritime museum in New England with over 500 historic vessels on display, a planetarium, historic gardens, and a children's museum. In addition, the museum is home to four National Historic Landmark vessels, including the Charles W. Morgan, the last wooden whaling ship in the world.
