Pickerel Park is open for the season and exciting events are on the calendar. Check out the fun planned for the next few weeks.The first dance of the season will be on Saturday, May 16 from 7-11 p.m., with music provided by "Sitting Ducks." Get ready for bingo on Saturday, May 23 at 7 p.m., and then every Saturday during the summer, except nights when a dance is scheduled.
Saturday June 6th we'll be making Easter Crafts in Pavilion 1, and the next Saturday kids can work on Father's Day Crafts. Crafting times are from 11:30 - 12:30 both days.
Fishing is great this Spring and anglers are getting lots of practice for the Adult Fishing Derby. Seasonal campers will compete on Saturday, June 27 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Later that evening "Picket Fences" will play for the Saturday Dance from 7-11 p.m. July 4th is a big day with the Kids Fishing Derby from 9 - 11 a.m. and the Canada Day Parade follows at 2:30. Don't forget bingo at 7 p.m.
Other upcoming events in July include the Horseshoe Tournament and crowning of the King and Queen of the Park. Also, Support the Troops and Family Fun Weekend and Christmas in July weekend.
