Must-see seasonal festivals and events during your stay at Sherkston Shores

Families won't have to travel far from Sherkston Shores Beach Resort & Campground this summer to find fantastic festivals and events in Ontario to keep everyone entertained. We know there are plenty of amazing things to do at the resort, but perhaps you'd like to catch a local day-trip festival for a change of scenery.

Canadian Tire Welland FloatFest 2018 – July 8

On July 8, the Canadian Tire Welland FloatFest will take place at Scuba Park-Lincoln Docks in Welland, ON. Take your inflatables out of the Quarry for the day and head over to FloatFest, where you can inflate your floaties at the inflation station. Attendees to this event are encouraged to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated while floating, along with a non-perishable food donation for the Hope Centre and Open Arms Mission. Vendors will also be on site for guests to purchase great food and merchandise.

32^nd Annual Friendship Festival in Fort Erie – July 12-15

The Friendship Festival will take between July 12-15 at Mather Park in Fort Erie. From family friendly rides, to vendors and free outdoor concerts, the festival is a great experience for the whole family. Since Sherkston Shores offers a fireworks show every weekend, add the Friendship Festival to your list of firework displays to take in during the summer. Only 15 minutes down Highway 3, the Friendship Festival always makes for an exciting weekend.

40^th Annual Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival in Port Colborne – August 3-6

Bring the entire family to Port Colborne as the city celebrates 40 years of the Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival from August 3-6! With activities around the city including locations like H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park, the Port Colborne Marine Museum, the Roselawn Centre, and of course, along the canal on West Street, the weekend is sure to be an exciting one. Less than 20 minutes from Sherkston Shores, Port Colborne is a great place to explore for a day trip.
