Fort Erie Friendship Festival Returns for Another Year of Celebrations

Border town hosts annual festival for guests near and far

The 32^nd Friendship Festival returns to Fort Erie, Canada from July 12 – 15, 2018! This annual event celebrates the close bond between Canada and the United States, promoting good relations between the two.

The 2018 Fort Erie Friendship Festival will take place at Mather Arch Park, right beside the Canadian-American border. The park is also near just 15 minutes down Highway 3 from Sherkston Shores Beach Resort & Campground!

Friendship Festival is the perfect family day trip from the RV campground, featuring exciting shows and activities for everyone to take part in. With this in mind, some things to do include rides, a magic show, animal talent show, concerts, and much more.

Throughout the weekend, guests can look forward to exciting events and activities including these five festival highlights.

1. Robertson's Amusements

Every year, the Friendship Festival has many exciting rides and midway games for families to enjoy. Whether you love the Ferris Wheel or gravitate towards the carnival games, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

2. Zooniversity

Hosted by Safari Niagara, the "Zooniversity Outreach Program" provides education and an interactive experience for all ages. On Saturday and Sunday, guests can get up close and personal with the animals while learning about the importance of biodiversity.

3. Ultimutts

On Sunday, prepare to be amazed as the Ultimutts team brings their talented group of dogs (and cat) to the festival. This one of a kind show is filled with amazing tricks including tightrope walking, walking handstands, skateboarding, jump rope and more. This is a performance that you won't want to miss!

4. Scoop McCoy

Also on Sunday, join Scoop McCoy's interactive Magic and Comedy Show! This lively event promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats as they ask volunteers from the crowd to join in the show.

5. Geronimo! Sky Diving Team

For 37 years, Geronimo! has been putting on thrilling aerial shows featuring talented sky diving professionals. On Saturday, visitors can get a front row seat to this spectacular show as the team performs their amazing stunts as they fly over the Friendship Festival.

Many other events and activities will also take place at the festival including the XPOGO Stunt Team, Kid's Karaoke, Yoga in the Park, GLOW Party, and Fluffy the Clown.
