Classic Cars and Country Christmas Stroll

Blue Jay Sun RV Resort needs two Rec Halls to be able to handle all the exciting events scheduled in the upcoming months. Pelican Hall is set up and ready for all the dinners and potlucks. Join us on November 27 at noon for the Thanksgiving Dinner and catch up with friends and neighbors for the first big event of the season. The park will provide the turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, and vegetables. Bring your favorite dessert and a good appetite. If you didn't get enough turkey to stuff you, come back for leftovers and 7 p.m., and maybe try a different dessert. Again this year we can thank our resident chef, Jack Eastin, for cooking up our delicious Thanksgiving Dinner, and guests look forward to his Christmas Feast as well.

Falcon Hall is the setting for fun and games. Dominoes and various card games are popular activities. Gather with friends for weekly bingo games, and someone is always up for a challenge on the billiards table.

Other activities in the park to keep you active include shuffleboard, pool exercises at 10 a.m. daily, and weekly golf outings. The Ladies Red Hat group welcomes guests to join them for lunches.

Every 1st Saturday Blue Jay residents get the opportunity to view classic and antique cars at the Dade City Cruise-In Car Show. Re-live the good old days, or dream on, as you look over the hot rods and muscle cars. The next show will be Dec 6th and cars will be on display from 2-7 p.m., which gives you time to take the Country Christmas Stroll (5-9 p.m.). Music, food and shopping to get you in the Christmas spirit.

The Shops at Wiregrass in nearby Wesley Chappel, a short 20 minute drive, is an excellent place to spend the day shopping for the holidays. The venue is a main-street style outdoor village. Be sure and try out the popular Pinchers Crab Shack, serving fresh seafood in a casual, tropical atmosphere.
