Beaches & Waterslides 

Water, water everywhere and so much fun to share. Adventuresome aquatic activities are part of daily life at Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores during the summer.  

Our 2.5-mile beachy shoreline is perfect for building sandcastles, taking long strolls, and topping off relaxation levels. Launch a kayak, canoe or paddleboard from shore, splash in the waves or snorkel for a possible sunken ship. According to NASA Earth Observatory, shallow Lake Erie has 2,000 shipwrecks, one of the greatest concentrations in the world. 

You can also cool off on a hot summer day at our own water park. Splash and swoosh through the thrilling Mach3 Super Slides, chill out around multiple swimming pools, and introduce youngsters to the kiddie pool or super splash pad. 

Quarry Splash N Go Adventure Park 

Take to the water in a whole new way. Young and old alike will love the cool challenge of our giant, inflatable floating splash pad and obstacle course. 

Join a timed race or make your way across various elements at your own pace. Either way, you will be sure to have some wet and wild fun at this one-of-a-kind water park. 

Funplex for Sports & More

If you're an action-seeker looking for a thrill, check out Sherkston Adventure Sports Funplex! Our sports complex features an aerial park and high ropes course, rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, skate park, various sports courts and so much more. You can also try your skills at different games at the arcade, enjoy a treat from the café or take in a live show. 

This all-encompassing area of fun is in the middle of the resort and is the place to be when you're not in the water. 

Shipwreck Playground

Ahoy, Little Mateys! The shipwreck playground offers a fun adventure for our younger guests. Located near Hillside Park, this playground has plenty to do, including a jungle gym with a swing set and an authentic pirate ship structure.

Dog Beaches

We haven't forgotten our furry friends either. They can have their fun at our dog-friendly spot at the far end of Elco Beach. Pets can paddle around to their heart's content or as long as your throwing arm holds out. We ask that you please be considerate of other guests and clean up after your pets.

Wakeboard Fun

Try out your mad wakeboarding skills at the Quarry Boarder Pass Wakeboard Park. You don't need a boat to enjoy the thrill of getting up and riding the waves. 

Practice spins, grips, and inverts while attached safely to a cable. Even wipeouts are fun! No experience is necessary.
