When it comes to natural wonders, few can match the power of waterfalls. These outdoor attractions range in height, shape, and size, but are all majestic. And they are well worth seeking out on your next camping trip.
Some waterfalls are well-known while others remain under the radar. To guide you, we've listed six waterfalls near Sun RV resorts. Whether you live on the East Coast or the West, you'll be able to find a waterfall in your region.

6 Waterfalls Near Sun RV Resorts
1. Laurel Falls
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is home to nearly twenty waterfalls, mostly on the Tennessee side. It's hard to choose among these, but you won't want to miss Laurel Falls.
At 80 feet high, Laurel Falls is quite a sight, especially after rainfall. The roundtrip hike is just 2.6 miles, making it easy for families. Plus, the walkway takes you on a bridge between the upper and lower falls, letting you get up close. Just be prepared to get wet!
Some other great waterfalls in Great Smoky Mountains National Park include Abrams Falls, Mingo Falls, and Grotto Falls. As always, remember bear safety and leave no trace. Even apple cores can attract bears and lead to bear attacks.

Oregon
Nestled in the Coast Ranges of Oregon is Coquille River Falls. Totaling 115 feet over two drops, this is one of the best waterfalls on the West Coast. It's also easy to reach. From the roadside trailhead, the hike is just over half a mile each way. The walk winds through ancient forests and opens at the bottom of the falls, giving you a gorgeous view.
Since it is a drive, you should spend some time in the area. Just a few miles north is Elk Creek Falls, which offers an even shorter walk from the trailhead. In this scenic part of Oregon, you really can't go wrong!

3. Middle Falls
Letchworth State Park, New York
Known as the "Grand Canyon of the East," Letchworth State Park is a sight to behold. The area is home to three massive waterfalls, the most majestic being Middle Falls. This drop on the Genesee River deluges from more than 100 feet up. Middle Falls is also situated next to the lodge, making it the easiest waterfall to visit.
While visiting, you should also check out Upper and Lower Falls. Both are beautiful and well worth a drive and a hike. If you're looking for a different perspective, Letchworth State Park is famous for hot air ballooning. It's awe-inspiring to gently drift above the falls.

4. Adams Falls
Grand County, Colorado
On the east side of Grand Lake is Adams Falls. Just one mile east of the village and 15 miles northeast of Granby, Adams Falls is a great waterfall for families. The hike is quite easy and follows a semi-loop trail for about two-thirds of a mile roundtrip.
Start at Inlet Trailhead. Signs along the trail will point you to the Adams Falls Trail. It's just a short distance to the overlook. There's a second overlook above the falls if you follow the trail a bit further. From here, you'll have impressive views of Grand Lake. The trail then loops back to the Inlet Trail, which will return you to the parking lot.

5. Niagara Falls
We couldn't make a list of great waterfalls without Niagara Falls. This world-famous spot includes American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls on the U.S. side, and Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side. The combination of the three falls makes for one of the most photogenic sights in North America.
There are many ways to explore Niagara Falls. The walkways along the top are excellent, but other options can also be fun. For example, the iconic Maid of the Mist will take you by boat near the bottom of the falls. Try something new and have some fun during your trip.

Rancho Cucamonga, California
Tucked away in the San Gabriel Mountains is Bonita Falls. There aren't many big waterfalls in Southern California, but Bonita Falls is one of the best. It also tends to flow year-round, though is best after winter rainfall.
The trail to Bonita Falls is situated off Lytle Creek Road in the mountains. There is a gravel parking area with camp toilets. It's about 1.5 miles each way to the falls and isn't too difficult. You will, however, need to cross a shallow stream. Wear waterproof hiking boots or bring a spare pair of shoes and socks.
