  4. Assemble the sandwich by placing the eggs and meat, along with a slice of cheese, in between the slices of toasted English muffin.

2. S'mores Granola

  1. Coat a large piece of tin foil with cooking spray.

3. Campfire Nachos

  1. Lightly oil the bottom of a deep saucepan then add a layer of tortilla chips on the pan.
  2. Build layers by adding 1/4 can of salsa, 1/4 can of black beans, 1/4 cup of cheese, and a handful of avocado, green onion, and cilantro.
  3. Repeat the first two steps and build one or two more layers (depending on what can fit in your pan).
  4. Cover the pan and cook over heat for about 10 minutes before enjoying this delicious finger food.

4. Campfire Cinnamon Roll-ups

  1. Combine 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon in a bowl, then separate crescent rolls and wrap them around wooden skewers.
  2. Roll the skewers in the cinnamon sugar mix then cook over a fire while frequently rotating them for about 5 minutes.
  3. For added sweetness, mix 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoon of water or milk to make a glaze, then drizzle over the roll-ups.
walking taco

5. Walking Taco

  1. Cook beef or turkey in a pan, then drain the excess fat after the meat has fully cooked.
  2. Add a packet of taco seasoning along with 1/2 cup of water and simmer lightly, then add a can of cooked black beans to the pan and mix well.
  3. Open individual bags of Fritos or Doritos chips and spoon the meat/bean mixture over the chips.
  4. Mix in your favorite toppings with the chips and meat, then add ranch or any other toppings you desire.

6. Camping Hot Dogs

  1. Place skewers about 3/4 of the way into hot dogs, then wrap Pillsbury crescent rolls around the hot dogs.
  2. Wrap each camping hot dog loosely in aluminum foil then roast over the fire, frequently turning the skewers for 15-20 minutes. Serve them with your favourite condiments and dig in!
grilled potato wedges

7. Grilled Potato Wedges

Note: This quick recipe requires a heat source with a grilling rack to properly cook the potatoes.
  1. Mix together 1 teaspoon of each ingredient: cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Arrange coals on one side of the grill, so you have a "hot side" for direct heat, and a "cool side" for indirect cooking.
  3. Cut the potatoes to size preference, then brush them with olive oil and place them on a grill rack over the direct heat. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side until brown and crispy on both sides. Then move to them to the "cool side" for an extra 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Toss the potatoes in the spice mixture and serve!

8. Campfire Steak, Potatoes and Peppers

  1. Slice three bell peppers and one red onion, then dice a full zucchini.
  2. Precook two sweet potatoes (if you have access to a stove or microwave, cook for 5 minutes before putting them over the fire).
  3. Combine veggies, potatoes, and beef steak in a bowl and toss in olive oil. Then add salt, pepper, chili powder, and cumin.
  4. When ready to cook, cut 4-5 pieces of aluminum foil and place the ingredients in equal portions inside of each piece, then wrap to create foil packets. Cook foil packets for about 20 minutes, or until steak is cooked through.
grilled lemon zucchini

9. Grilled Lemon Zucchini

  1. Cut the tops off six zucchinis then cut them into quarters.
  2. Place zucchinis in a large zipper bag then add olive oil, one teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, and the juice of two lemons.
  3. Seal the bags, toss them, then set aside for 20 minutes.
  4. Prepare your grill or fire on medium heat, then grill the zucchinis on each side. Sprinkle with lemon zest and salt to garnish.

10. Campfire Mushrooms

  1. Put a cooking grate over your campfire, then add olive oil and butter to a pan and place it over the heat.
  2. Add two small shallots (thinly sliced) to the pan, and cook for a couple of minutes.
  3. Add a sprig of rosemary and two cloves of garlic (thinly sliced), then stir.
  4. Add a pound of brown cremini mushrooms and cook for 3-5 minutes. Then add ¼ pound of Portobello mushrooms and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  5. Add the juice of half a lemon, add 1/4 cup of red wine or beef stock, then cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. To finish, stir in 1/4 pound of morel mushrooms and heat for 3 minutes before serving.
