1. Manatawny Still Works

Pottstown

Hidden in an industrial park, Manatawny Still Works is an acclaimed Pennsylvania distillery. Here, you'll find two Italian stills, four fermenters, and hundreds of barrels of spirits. They craft several varieties of whiskey, rum, and gin.

2. Five Saints

Norristown

Nestled in Norristown, Five Saints is a small but dedicated distillery. The handcrafted spirits have won awards and Five Spirits is known for its white whiskey. If you've never had white whiskey, imagine the lovechild of moonshine, vodka, and whiskey. It's well worth trying.

3. Boardroom Spirits

Lansdale

There must be a special magic to distilleries hidden in business parks. Boardroom Spirits has an unassuming exterior that hides its ample skill. The bar prepares quirky cocktails made with innovative spirits. If you're into adventurous styles, this is the place to be.

4. Thistle Finch

Lancaster

Once a quiet town, Lancaster, Pennsylvania has become a sleeper culinary hit. With its success has come one of the finest Pennsylvania distilleries, Thistle Finch. Tucked inside a former tobacco warehouse, Thistle Finch is an artisan distillery specializing in rye whiskey.

5. Stoll & Wolfe Distillery

Lititz

The town of Lititz, Pennsylvania was once home to Bomberger's Distillery, the oldest distillery in the U.S. The business disappeared in the late 20^th century, only to have the facilities revived by Stoll & Wolfe Distillery. 6. Barn & Barrel

Manheim

Tucked within the Mount Hope Estate is Barn & Barrel, a distillery, winery, brewery, and cidery. The setting is both historic and rustic, with the bar being inside a renovated barn. With a variety of attractions, the estate is well worth a visit.

7. Midstate Distillery

Harrisburg Head right to the capital city of Harrisburg and visit Midstate Distillery. This popular spot is known for its attention to detail and use of local ingredients. We recommend you try the apple brandy and Pennsyltucky moonshine.

Pennsylvania Breweries to Visit

1. Stoudts brewing Company

Adamstown

Just 15 minutes west of Lake in Wood RV Resort is Stoudts Brewing Company. This was Pennsylvania's first microbrewery and has become a regional favorite. It's known for its distinct lager. Fun fact: Carol Stoudt was the first female brew master following Prohibition. So Stoudts is also a piece of history!

2. Victory Brewing Company

Downingtown

Back in 1996, Victory Brewing Company opened in an old Pepperidge Farm factory. Since then, it's been named one of the best breweries in Pennsylvania and the U.S. Take a trip to the Downingtown taproom and try a standard or one of their experimental brews.

3. Yuengling

Pottsville

If you're from the Northeast or Southeast, you're likely familiar with Yuengling. It's the oldest craft brewery in the U.S. and has a dedicated following of its lager. The main brewery is still located in Pottsville and offers tours of the historic facility.

4. Appalachian Brewing Company

Harrisburg

Appalachian Brewing Company has several locations, but the flagship is in downtown Harrisburg. The building dates to 1890 and is the perfect place to enjoy a beer while soaking up Pennsylvania's history. Stop by, grab a meal, and sip one of ABC's signature brews.

5. Forest & Main Brewing Co.

Ambler

Once a 19^th-century home, Forest & Main Brewing Co. is one of the coziest breweries in Pennsylvania. If you're a fan of English ales and farmhouse beers, Forest & Main will be a favorite. They also have numerous cellar beers aged in oak barrels.

6. Hidden River Brewing

Douglassville

Drive 30 minutes east of Lake in Wood RV Resort and you'll find Hidden River Brewing. This brewery is set on land once owned by William Penn and uses local ingredients. Notably, Hidden River Brewing never repeats a recipe. The selection will always be different, though you can expect lots of saisons and IPAs. Pair your beer with local meats and cheeses for a delicious dinner.

7. Sly Fox Brewing Co.

Pottstown
