Birch Bay Camping Near the Cascades
Fresh air, green trees, and towering mountains are standard at Sun Retreats Birch Bay, our newest resort and first outdoor destination in the State of Washington. Our resort has a great location in Blaine, which gives you easy access to North Cascades National Park. Plus, it's just a short drive from home for guests visiting from Seattle, as well as Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada.
Right next to the resort is Birch Bay State Park, which features a pebble beach full of clams and crabs. And if you head 90 miles east, you'll find yourself in North Cascades National Park. This pristine wilderness is waiting to be explored, so lace up your boots and get at it!
Accommodations and Amenities
Sun Retreats Birch Bay has accommodations for all different types of campers. Rustic tent sites give you a chance to sleep under the stars and select sites feature electric service and WiFi access. And our RV sites offer an enhanced experience with full hookups, WiFi, and grassy or gravel pads.
Not much of a camper? No problem! You can take your stay in a one-bedroom vacation rental with space for up to four guests. Our rentals are pet-friendly and feature a full kitchen, bathroom, heat and air conditioning, as well as a parking area.
In addition to the comfortable accommodations, Sun Retreats Birch Bay has many amenities to improve your stay. We know you'll often be out exploring the local area, but you can enjoy the following amenities at the resort:

Just one mile down the street is Birch Bay State Park. This outdoor refuge features relatively warm waters for swimming, plus a sandy beach for digging clams. And if you want to hit the water, Birch Bay is a popular destination for windsurfing, sailing, and paddling.
If you're seeking a mountain wilderness, head 90 miles inland to North Cascades National Park. Rugged hiking trails abound in this preserve and there also options for road biking, fishing, and boating on Ross Lake.
