Take in picturesque views of the Niagara River as you hike through many kilometers of trails at the Niagara Gorge. If you're spending a day hiking here, make sure you're prepared with water, snacks, and sunscreen for a worry-free hike through the Gorge.
The Niagara Gorge is located in Niagara Falls, less than 20 minutes from Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores, and its sister resort at Pleasant Beach Campground. With its nearby location and varied trails, the Niagara Gorge is a perfect spot for casual and avid hikers.
Located in Wainfleet, just off Lake Erie, Morgan's Point is home to many natural habitats and scenic areas. With rest areas, fishing, and swimming along the way, this hiking trail makes for a memorable family adventure.
Cycle through 13 kilometers of paved trails that travel through Fort Erie and Ridgeway! In addition to the main route, the Friendship Trail features connections to Port Colborne and the Niagara River Parkway Recreation Trail.
As a part of the Trans Canada Trail Link, this trail boasts scenic routes for all travelers. With links to the trail less than five minutes away from Sherkston Shores and Pleasant Beach, this trail is very accessible for campers.
Prepare for a great ride as you make your way from Port Colborne to St. Catharines along the 45-kilometer Welland Canals Parkway Trail. The start of this trail is less than 10 minutes from RV resorts in Sherkston and provides the opportunity for a great ride through many towns.
Additionally, summertime is a great opportunity to see the ships that make their way through the Welland Canal. You'll also get a glimpse at the many locks along the route. The trail begins at Lake Erie and finishes at Lake Ontario with plenty of great stops along the path.
Take your bike from Fort Erie and make your way up the map to as far as Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Niagara River Recreation Trail is 56 kilometers long and has many stops to explore along the way, including Niagara Falls, a major tourist attraction of the region.
