Sitting east of Buckeye is Estrella Mountain Regional Park, a massive preserve featuring wetlands, mountains, and deserts. Numerous trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding wind their way through the park. There are also spots for fishing on the Gila River, and several picnic ramadas in the park.
