1. Susquehannock State Park

2. Lancaster County Central Park

Nestled just a little ways south of downtown Lancaster City, Lancaster County Central Park is an outstanding outdoor space. In the park's 544 acres, you'll find numerous gardens, hiking and biking trails, a skate park, a nature center, and more. Grab a coffee downtown, head to the park, and stroll through the woods as you sip.

4. Capital Area Greenbelt

Harrisburg may be known for politics, but it also has wonderful outdoor attractions. One of those is the Capital Area Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is a 20-mile bicycle loop through Harrisburg's parks and green spaces. You'll spot great fall foliage throughout, especially in downtown Harrisburg and Reservoir Park.

Do note that while most of the Greenbelt runs on dedicated paths, some small portions share the road. Be sure to wear a helmet and practice bicycle safety while riding.

5. Wissahickon Valley Park

We've reached the Philadelphia section of the list. Some of the best fall color in Pennsylvania can be found right in the City of Brotherly Love. Indeed, Wissahickon Valley Park should be high on your list of places to visit in any season.

6. Schuylkill River Trail

7. Benjamin Franklin Parkway

By far the most famous street in Philadelphia is Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This gorgeous boulevard is lined with hundreds of trees and connects famous Fairmount Park with Center City. 8. Lehigh Gorge State Park

With rapids, waterfalls, and rocky cliffs, Lehigh Gorge State Park is an adventurer's dream. The deep gorge is filled with old growth forests and turns fiery orange in fall.

There are several ways to explore the state park. The Lehigh Gorge Trail runs for 20 miles and follows a former rail line through the gorge. But if you're looking for a little different way to explore, try whitewater boating on the river. It's a spectacular experience.

9. Little Buffalo State Park

Some of the best fall foliage in Pennsylvania can be found at Little Buffalo State Park. This historic preserve is north of Harrisburg and features covered bridges, an old gristmill, and more.
