More than just a good time, Fiesta San Antonio is a charitable event, raising more than $600,000 each year for over 100 local nonprofits. Performances will feature all kinds of music, including mariachi and symphony pops, as well as rock, jazz, and country. Carnival food is available throughout the event, and this year brings in Taste of the Republic, a culinary VIP party featuring 12 local chefs who will be serving up unique twists on regional Texas flavors, each with its own beer or wine pairing.

Other entertainment options abound at Fiesta. The official Fiesta 2018 opening on April 19 will feature the opening of cascarónes, which are like Latin American Easter eggs, along with live entertainment and fireworks. Fiesta Carnival at the Alamodome will have a variety of thrilling rides, children's activities, and classic fair food. Topping everything off, three fabulous parades are planned including the Battle of Flowers Parade, the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, the Fiesta Especial 5K & Parade, and the Fiesta Pooch Parade.

Parking is limited downtown, especially during the event, so you may want to call a cab or take the VIA bus service to individual events. Bring cash for both admission tickets and vendors within the festival, as cards and checks usually aren't accepted.
