Get ready for the 45th Annual 7 Mile Bridge Run! For our guests at Sun Outdoors Marathon, you are perfectly positioned at the heart of this world-famous event. Whether you're one of the lucky 1,500 runners or just here for the energy, here is everything you need to know for race day. 🌊👟
🗓️ Key Dates & Times
Packet Pickup: Friday, April 10, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM 📍
Location: Marathon (Check your registration for specific site)
⚠️ Important: You MUST pick up your own packet in person with a photo ID. No race-day pickup allowed!
Race Day: Saturday, April 11, 2026 🗓️
Race Start: 6:45 AM Sharp! 🕕
Bridge Closure: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM 🚫🚙
📍 Logistics for Sun Outdoors Guests
Stay Local: Since the race starts at the west end of Marathon (Knights Key), staying with us means you avoid the 5:00 AM commute from Key West! 🚐💨
Parking & Shuttles: Runner parking is extremely limited near the start line (1 Knights Key Blvd). We recommend carpooling or using the official event shuttles. Shuttles typically stop running by 5:40 AM, so don't be late! 🚌
Road Closure Warning: If you have plans to drive south toward Key West on Saturday morning, you must leave before 6:00 AM or wait until the bridge reopens at 9:00 AM. 🚧
✨ What to Expect
The Course: A 6.8-mile "meditative" run with nothing but ocean views on both sides. 🌊🌀
No Spectators on Bridge: For safety, the bridge is closed to everyone except runners and emergency vehicles. Your cheering squad should head to the finish line area at the west end of the bridge to greet you! 📣🙌
Post-Race Celebration: Join the "After Party" at the finish line for refreshments, music, and that well-deserved finisher medal. 🏅🍻
