Soak up the sun, relax and take a swim in the heated outdoor pool overlooking the resort and ocean views. Unwind in our hot tub after a day of adventure. The pool is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Hiking

Take in the sweeping views of the Central Coast on one of our private hiking trails, including the popular Selma Rubin Trail to the llama and goat farm. See the El Capitan Canyon Kiosk for our current trail information.

Our new big woods themed playground and swing set is the perfect place for your kids to play and make new friends. Watch them climb, jump, and run around with smiling faces.

Outdoor Movie Nights

Join us for our outdoor movie nights on the lawn at Sun Outdoors Santa Barbara. Held seasonally and on some holiday, our movies are perfect for families and relaxing under the stars.

Stargazing

As one of the first darker sky areas outside of Los Angeles, Sun Outdoors Santa Barbara offers an ideal backdrop for stargazing with very little light pollution interrupting your experience with the constellations above.

Pro tip: Pack a blanket, bug spray, and red light flashlight or headlamp with red light to preserve your night vision.

Unleash your competitive side in a friendly game of horseshoes. You never know, you just might be a ringer! With simple rules to grasp, it's easy to get started and a great game for beginners and seasoned players alike.

Giant Chess

Our oversized chess set turns a classic game into an epic battle in the backdrop of the outdoors.

Firepits / Firewood

Each RV and tent site comes equipped with its own fire ring. Plus, firewood is available for purchase ($) at the Camp Store, to add to the ease of the stay.

BBQ Pit / Santa Maria Grill

Rent a BBQ pit / Santa Maria portable grill ($). These can be fueled by charcoal or wood, giving you multipurpose versatility to craft your menu items to your group's specialized tastes.

These can be booked in the booking engine when reserving your stay. If you've already booked, you can send an email requesting availability/pricing.

Event Yurt

Experience our fantastic new event space inside of a canvas walled yurt, which makes for an unique gathering space if you have a family renuion, baby shower, birthday, or other special event on the horizon. Accommodates up to about 35 people.
