Local Attractions
Just 10 minutes away from Tamarac Village is Ludington State Park, a stunning preserve on Lake Michigan. Windswept sand dunes and coastal grasses define the park, making for a magical beach vibe. Many opportunities exist to swim, hike, and bike while savoring stunning views of Lake Michigan. The park also features Big Sable Point Lighthouse, a stately, historic structure built in 1867.
Another lovely spot is Stearns Park Beach, where you can swim, play mini golf, and visit North Breakwater Lighthouse. And don't miss Ludington School Forest Trails, a scenic area to hike, bike, and disc golf. You may also want to stop by White Pine Village, a late 19th century pioneer settlement.
Yet there is more! Other attractions include the Sandcastles Children's Museum, Port of Ludington Maritime Museum, and the S.S. Badger, a steamship car ferry to Wisconsin. For an ice cream or bite to eat, stroll through downtown Ludington and visit one of the charming eateries.
