Palos Verdes Shores Fall Classic Golf Tournament

On October 28, 2015, Palos Verdes Shores, under the very gracious direction of resident golfer extraordinaire Bill Fish, hosted a very fun and exciting golf tournament on the beautiful golf course at Palos Verdes Shores. The tournament was enthusiastically aided by many helpful resident volunteers, including on-site managers, Jim and Kay Webb, and their assistant managers, David and Julie Phillips. Sun Communities managing director Bill Schweinfurth along with associates from Bessire & Casenhiser, Inc. were also in attendance.

Mr. Fish suggested the format of a "Texas Scramble" with two person teams consisting of one man and one woman. The golfers enjoyed perfect weather and breathtaking ocean views throughout the day.

The 1st Place Winners were Eugene Hardy and Linda Giammanco. The 2nd Place Winners were Freddie Campos and Al Williams and the 3rd Place Winners were Jack and Sheryl Prizlow. The winner of the "Closest to the Pin" on Hole 4 was Jack Lovrich and the "Closest to the Pin" on Hole 16 Winner was Eugene Hardy. All Winners were presented with cash and a trophy. We'd also like to recognize Ed Welz and Eugene Hardy for their mad skills on their hole-in-one shots! Congratulations to all the winners!!

The golfers had a wonderful time and plan on making this an annual event. The residents really enjoyed mingling with the staff and members of upper management. "Resident relations are extremely important to us. It's about the camaraderie and spending the day among friends,"" says Jenni Nitsch of Bessire & Casenhiser.
