San Antonio is synonymous with Tex-Mex food, the Alamo, and old Spanish missions. But what you may not know is that the River City is also home to numerous theme parks. From roller coasters to water slides, there are plenty of places to find thrills. Look for your next adventure at one of these five San Antonio theme parks!
Built into the hills of northwest San Antonio, Six Flags® Fiesta Texas offers big thrills and family fun. Standing high in the park is THE JOKER™: Carnival of Chaos, one of the world's tallest pendulum rides. You'll fly 17 stories above the ground while soaring at speeds up to 75 miles per hour. And don't forget that you'll be spinning throughout the experience!
Spinning is just the start, though, and you'll find many recognizable roller coasters at Six Flags® Fiesta Texas:
The park also has family rides and kids attractions so that all ages can enjoy an afternoon here. Additionally, the miniature train that runs through the park makes it easy to skip some of the walking. Here's a guide with more tips for enjoying Six Flags® Fiesta Texas as a family.

SeaWorld® San Antonio is conveniently located just three miles north of Sun Outdoors San Antonio West. Packed to the gills with aquatic attractions, SeaWorld® has water rides, live entertainment, and animal experiences.
If you're chasing thrills, take a ride on the Texas Stingray, the tallest, fastest, and longest wooden roller coaster in the Lone Star State. If you're more into animal adventures, you can see beluga whales, bottlenose dolphins, penguins, and more. You can even swim with dolphins and feed sea lions at SeaWorld® San Antonio!
If you're looking for something smaller, San Antonio's Kiddie Park, is the oldest children's amusement park in America. This quaint attraction is nestled next to the San Antonio Zoo and offers per-ride tickets or unlimited ride wristbands.
The rides at Kiddie Park are designed for young children, rather than grown thrill seekers. These rides include a carousel, a train, a mini Ferris wheel, and more. The experience is a blast from the past and Kiddie Park is a great place for old-fashioned family fun.

Gordon Hartman, a San Antonio homebuilder, realized a long-held dream when he opened Morgan's Wonderland. The park is the world's first accessible theme park and is named in honor of Hartman's daughter, Morgan, who lives with cognitive and physical challenges.
Morgan's Wonderland features more than 25 wheelchair-accessible attractions that include rides and playgrounds, as well as the unique Sensory Village™. On hot days, the popular place to be is Morgan's Inspiration Island, a waterpark with splash pads, the River Boat Adventure Ride, and waterproof wheelchairs.
Guests will also enjoy thoughtfully conceived live entertainment, numerous rest areas, and a calm fishing lake. Admission to Morgan's Wonderland is free for guests with special needs. Caregivers and other guests are asked to pay nominal admission prices to help cover the operating costs.
You'll find it easy to access the San Antonio theme parks when you stay nearby. Three resorts near San Antonio offer RV camping and vacation rentals just a few miles from the action.
As previously mentioned, Sun Outdoors San Antonio West sits just three miles south of SeaWorld® San Antonio. In peak season, the resort even offers a free shuttle to and from this amazing attraction. If you're interested in marine life and water rides, San Antonio West is the place to stay.
